Contract content

Preamble: In accordance with the Treaty of Poznań of 10 November 1530, this treaty comprises the following articles:

Article 1: Marriage agreed, dowry determined, dowry payment regulated

Article 2: Donatio propter nuptias determined, life estate determined: to be transferred to Elizabeth after the death of her mother-in-law, issuance of insurance certificate regulated

Article 3: Ferdinand’s consent to morning gift at Sigismund’s discretion expressed

Article 4: upon Elisabeth’s death: transfer of dowry, donation propter nuptias, morning gift to Sigismund, without reversion agreed

Article 5: In the event of Sigismund’s death without children: use of life estate by Elisabeth, reversion of donatio propter nuptias after her death, inheritance of dowry and morning gift agreed

Article 6: Transfer of Elisabeth at the age of 16 regulated

Article 7: Renunciation of inheritance by Elisabeth regulated: with Sigismund’s consent

Article 8: In the event of the death of a spouse before marriage: contract void

Article 9: Marriage agreed by procurator: following the signing of the contract

Article 10: Compliance assured, ratification regulated
