Preamble: Treaty to strengthen friendship and relations and for the benefit of the Protestant religion; naming of authorised officials

1 – Marriage per procurationem within six weeks of ratification of the treaty, ceremony according to the Protestant religion

2 – Transfer of the bride to Denmark regulated

3- Dowry regulated: £40,000 from Great Britain and £40,000 from Brunswick-Lüneburg; inheritance depends on whether the bride dies before or after any joint children

4- Provision for the bride and widow’s dower regulated: Sonderburg Castle as widow’s dower; annual income guaranteed in widowhood

5 – Bride may freely dispose of her property brought into the marriage during her lifetime or by will

6 – Property acquired during her marriage will be inherited by the children or Denmark

7 – Ratification clarified: ratification documents must be exchanged within six weeks

8 – Powers of attorney for both parties
