[Pre] – Request for marriage expressed by the groom’s brother: through the Danish ambassador in England, with God’s consent – Acceptance of the marriage proposal expressed by the English king and the bride’s father: due to the groom’s special virtues, due to the close relationship, due to the religious compatibility between bride and groom – appointment of negotiators, negotiations and conclusion of contract announced (145f.)

1 – personal marriage agreed: date reserved

2 – maintenance of bride and groom determined: payment from the English king from excise duties, for the lifetime of the bride and groom, after the death of the bride and groom for the male descendants of the bride and groom and their heirs according to primogeniture

3 – Maintenance of bride and groom determined: additional payment from the bride’s father from postal income and excise duties, under the same payment conditions as the maintenance payment from the king

4 – After the death of the bride with surviving children: Provision for the groom for life regulated – Maintenance of children and descendants determined: Administered by trustees for up to 200 years for the maintenance of sons, daughters and descendants or for the maintenance and dowry of the bride and groom’s daughters, dowry sums determined where applicable
