Preamble and Article 1: Naming of the parties involved, reference to the papal dispensation, agreement on the marriage and wedding celebrations at the Savoy court

Article 2: Appointment of the bride as ‘Comtesse d’Artois’, agreement on the appropriate transfer after the wedding at the expense of the bride’s father, honourable reception by the groom at the Pont de Beauvoisin.

Article 3: Determination of the dowry (420,000 livres ‘monnoie de Piemont’ and the terms of payment)

Article 4: Regulation of Maria Theresa’s ownership rights to the dowry; in the event of Maria Theresa’s death without children or if her children are minors at the time of her death and die before reaching the age of majority: regulation of the reversion of the dowry, except for a sum specified in the will, not exceeding 100,000 livres

Article 5: Investment of the dowry by the King of France and Count of Artois: to be invested primarily in the appanage territories of Charles Philip, including the duchies of Auvergne and Mercœur [release for the naming of further territories], in the event of dissolution of the marriage: reversion guaranteed

Article 6: Dowry regarded as Maria Theresa’s inheritance settlement, Maria Theresa’s renunciation of inheritance regulated: except in the event of the extinction of all remaining descendants of Victor Amadeus

Article 7: Dowry set at 100,000 livres

Article 8: Wedding gifts from the King of France and Count of Artois worth 300,000 livres guaranteed, morning gift determined, Maria Theresa’s property rights regulated

Article 9: Maintenance of Maria Theresa and her court during the marriage regulated

Article 10: Dowry established: property from Karl Philipp’s appanage guaranteed as dowry property, main property elevated to duchy, property administration regulated by Maria Theresa, as widow’s provision

Article 11: Regulations in the event of the failure of the marriage or the death of the bride/groom: Freedom of movement for the bride, ownership of dowry and widow’s dower, return of the bride to Savoy

Article 12: Inheritance of Maria Theresa’s personal estate regulated: family jewels excluded, compliance guaranteed, ratification regulated, executed by the Sardinian minister as notary
