Contract content
Article 1: Marriage between Ludwig and Maria already consummated, except for the consummation of the marriage, Maximilian and Wladislaw guarantee future consummation
Article 2: Marriage between Maximilian and Anna of Hungary consummated, annulment of the marriage if one of Maximilian’s grandsons, either Ferdinand or Karl, agrees to marry Anna within one year of the date of the contract
Article 3: Anna is placed in Maximilian’s care for her education
Article 4: Anna’s dowry is set at 200,000 Hungarian florins, payment upon marriage or consummation of the marriage between Ludwig and Maria, offset against Maria’s dowry
Article 5: Instead of a donation propter nuptias or morning gift, Anna shall receive an annual pension of 25,000 Hungarian ducats upon her marriage to Maximilian.
Article 6: Regulation of Anna’s pension upon her marriage to Karl or Ferdinand.
Article 7: Maria’s dowry is also set at 200,000 Hungarian florins, to be offset against Anna’s dowry
Article 8: Instead of a donation propter nuptias or morning gift, Maria shall also receive an annuity of 25,000 Hungarian ducats per annum upon her marriage or consummation of the marriage with Ludwig
Article 9: In the event of the death of Anna’s groom before consummation of the marriage: payment of 100,000 ducats to Anna within one year, guarantee by the Austrian estates, and return of Anna to Hungary agreed
Article 10: In the event of the death of Anna or Maria before consummation of the marriage, payment of the dowry of the deceased to the other bride agreed
Article 11: in the event of the death of one of the husbands and the widow wishing to remarry, payment of the dowry and waiver of the widow’s dower agreed
Article 12: mutual compliance assured, with the express inclusion of Ferdinand and Karl as well as Ludwig and Anna
Article 13: contract confirmed by the Polish king
Article 14: confirmation requested from the Pope
