Contract content

1 – Mutual marriage vows

2 – Dowry of 20,000 Reichstalers; payment arranged; trousseau arranged

3 – Morning gift of 10,000 Reichstalers; this is to generate 500 Reichstalers for the bride

4 – Play money in the amount of 15,000 Reichstalers guaranteed; the bride receives 4,000 Reichstalers annually for clothing

5 – Life annuity of 35,500 Reichstalers guaranteed

6 – Maintenance of joint children regulated

7 – Determination of the widow’s residence; replacement in case of uninhabitability

8 – Place of residence as a widow regulated

9 – Inventory of the widow’s residence regulated; remarriage of the bride regulated

10 – Regulations regarding debts

11 – Inheritance of the bride’s dowry regulated

12 – If one of the spouses dies after consummation of the marriage but before the monetary payments have been made, the contract shall nevertheless be executed; if one of the spouses dies before consummation of the marriage, the contract is void; confirmation of the contract; place; date; signatures
