Preamble: Marriage is seen as a continuation of centuries of alliances between France and Savoy

Article 1: Marriage as soon as Maria Adelaide is 12 years old, dispensation from the Pope due to the degree of kinship of the couple mentioned, marriage at the French court, treatment of Maria Adelaide in accordance with her status, exact date to be determined by Louis XIV and Victor Amadeus II

Article 2: Dowry (200.000 gold ecu), bridal jewellery, morning gift regulated

Article 3: Interest and investment of the dowry, return of the dowry and bridal jewellery to Maria Adelaide or her heirs in the event of dissolution of the marriage regulated

Article 4: Donation of a bridal treasure by the French side worth 50.000 gold ecus determined

Article 5: Dowager’s livelihood (annual payment of 20,000 gold ecus), dower, widow’s usufruct and administration of dower lands regulated

Article 6: Maria Adelaide’s renunciation of inheritance regulated: Confirmation by oath of Maria Adelaide, dispensation for insufficient age of oath, oath declared with validity for herself and all descendants in favour of the male line and collateral line of the House of Savoy, renunciation of all possibilities of objection, compliance by France assured, as part of the Peace Treaty of Turin 1696-08-29

Article 7: Maria Adelaide’s livelihood regulated

Article 8: Maria Adelaide´s voyage to her husband´s court in France arranged
