Article 1: Marriage agreed

Article 2: Dowry set at 100,000 Écus d’Allemangne, payable immediately after the wedding, in return for Maria Josepha’s renunciation of her inheritance and waiver of all succession rights as a Saxon princess

Article 3: Investment of the dowry to the satisfaction of the Polish King regulated by the Dauphin and French King; in the event of dissolution of the marriage: return to Maria Josepha or her heirs regulated

Article 4: Maria Josepha’s right of ownership of the dowry regulated; in the event of Maria Josepha’s death without children: reversion of the dowry to the King of Poland regulated; Regulation also applies if Maria Josepha’s biological children and heirs die while still minors after Maria Josepha’s death

Article 5: Gift of bridal jewellery by the King of Poland valued at 100,000 écus d’Allemagne, Maria Josepha’s right of ownership and right of inheritance regulated

Article 6: Gift of bridal jewels by the King of France worth 50,000 écus, ownership rights of Maria Josepha and right of inheritance regulated

Article 7: Life estate for widow’s maintenance set at 20,000 écus per annum, to be invested in various dowry estates, the life estate to be elevated to a duchy, sovereign rights for Maria Josepha, appointment of officials and administration regulated, life-long usufruct regulated regardless of whether she remains in France or leaves as a widow

Article 8: Maintenance of Maria Josepha during the marriage regulated

Article 9: Marriage ceremony with procurator for the Dauphin at the court of the Polish king, followed by transfer of Maria Josepha to Strasbourg, where she will be received by the Dauphin and the French king

Article 10: Maria Josepha’s right of return to Poland as a widow guaranteed, right to take mobile property and servants with her guaranteed, claims to widow’s pension remain valid upon departure

Article 11: Ratification to be completed within four weeks

Appendix: after acceptance of the formal proposal: formal contract drawn up and read aloud, ratification guaranteed, contract signed, powers of attorney of the King and Queen of France, the Dauphin, the King of Poland and Maria Josepha included
