Preamble: On the advice of princes and deputies of the kingdom, assembled in Tours, for the benefit and security of the kingdom and its subjects: Marriage negotiated, betrothal completed, marriage contract concluded: by contractual partners for the bride and groom (88 li – re)
Article 1: Marriage agreed: to be consummated immediately after the bride and groom reach the age of majority
Article 2: Dowry determined: counties and dominions ceded by the bride’s father to the bride, right of use reserved for the lifetime of the bride’s father – subject to change: if a son is born to the bride’s father – monetary payment ceded by the bride’s mother to the bride: payment regulated, to be invested by the groom, for the maintenance of the bride, to become the bride’s hereditary property – if applicable, reversion after the death of the bride without children regulated (88 right)
Article 3: If a son is born to the bride’s father: inheritance of the Duchy of Brittany by the bride’s mother to her son possible, regardless of the marriage contract between the bride’s father and the bride’s mother (88 re)
Article 4: Widow’s maintenance regulated: depending on the groom’s succession to the throne, either with the usual royal widow’s estate or with one third of the groom’s estate (88 re)
