Preamble: Names of the parties and the fathers of the spouses; names of the persons who negotiated the contract

1 – Mutual marriage vows of the parties

2 – Trousseau befitting the bride’s status; dowry of 40,000 guilders; donation propter nuptias of the same amount; mornig gift of 26,666 guilders; the groom’s family also assumes the monetary obligations that would normally be borne by the bride’s family, because the emperor has taken the place of the bride’s parents

3 – Hand money of 27,000 guilders per annum

4 – In the event of the bride’s death before the groom: the dowry and donation propter nuptias are at the groom’s disposal; after the groom’s death, both fall to the joint heirs; if there are none, both fall to the groom’s next of kin
