Preamble (101 re – 102 li): Reading of contract by notaries attested: before contracting parties

Article 1 (102 li): Marriage agreed

Article 2 (102 li): Dowry determined: payable by Pope, in addition to bride’s paternal and maternal inheritance

Article 3 (102 li): Father’s inheritance of the bride redeemed by payment from the Pope, bride’s renunciation of inheritance regulated: in favour of the Pope, with the consent of the groom, the groom’s father, except in the Duchy of Urbino

Article 4 (102 li): Transfer of the Duchy of Orleans to the groom regulated: for the support of the family, until the father’s inheritance is received, annual income determined

Article 5 (102 li): Payment of dowry regulated

Article 6 (102 li – re): Inheritance law, succession of children and descendants regulated: according to primogeniture

Article 7 (102 re): Trousseau, bride’s jewellery regulated: by the Pope, to become the bride’s hereditary property

Article 8 (102 re): Widow’s property, widow’s income determined, widow’s residence provided: for the widow’s maintenance

Article 9 (102 re): After the death of a bride without children: inheritance of the bride’s movable property by the groom regulated, liability of the groom for the bride’s debts regulated, payment of the bride’s father’s and mother’s inheritance to the bride’s heirs regulated

Article 10 (102 re): After the death of the groom without children: regulation of the bride’s property rights to the redemption of her father’s inheritance, her mother’s inheritance, her trousseau and bridal jewellery, and half of the dowry

Article 11 (102 re – 103 li): If there are children from the marriage: The bride’s rights of use to the trousseau, bridal jewellery, maternal inheritance, compensation for the bride’s paternal inheritance, and dowry are regulated: only if the bride’s estate is bequeathed to children during the bride’s lifetime, the right of use is reserved for the bride’s lifetime; after the death of the children, any reversion to the bride is regulated.

Article 12 (103 li): In the case of the bride’s second marriage without children from the first marriage: inheritance rights of children from the second marriage to dowry from the first marriage regulated

Article 13 (103 li): In the case of the bride’s second marriage: inheritance rights of children from the second marriage may be restricted in favour of daughters from the first marriage
