Preamble: Strengthening of the alliance and coalition concluded between Frederick William and Eberhard Ludwig

Article 1: Mutual marriage vows

Article 2: Religious matters regulated: Freedom of worship for the bride; assurance of a court chaplain; establishment of a room in the Stuttgart residence for religious worship and in her chambers

Article 3: Dowry regulated: 24,000 Reichstaler; investment and use of the dowry regulated; bride’s trousseau regulated; 9,000 Reichstaler as paraphernal goods

Article 4: Bride’s renunciation of inheritance regulated

Article 5: Morning gift regulated: In the amount of 5,000 Reichstaler; interest thereon and 2,000 Reichstaler as pin money; bride’s court regulated

Article 6: Benefits of the groom’s family regulated: donatio propter nuptias in the amount of 24,000 Reichstaler; Leibgedinge in the amount of 4,800 Reichstaler regulated; Göppingen office as widow’s dower; Provisions regarding the widow’s dower: rights of use; replacement; inventory of the widow’s dower residence; entry into office; jurisdiction; prohibition of pledging

Article 7: Deaths regulated; bride dies before groom without joint heirs: inheritance of various funds regulated

Article 8: Bride dies before groom with joint heirs: inheritance of various funds regulated

Article 9: Groom dies before bride with or without children: widow’s dower, provision for any children, use of funds regulated

Article 10: Remarriage of bride regulated; inheritance regulations with and without children from second marriage

Article 11: If one of the spouses dies after consummation of the marriage but before payment of the marriage funds, these must still be paid; if one of the spouses dies before consummation of the marriage, the contract is void

Article 12: Gifting each other by will, codicil or donationes mortis causa is freely permitted as long as it does not violate the house contracts

Article 13: Promise to abide by the above; two copies to be signed

Article 14: Place, date, signature
