Preamble (96 li – re): Contract article states: concluded between negotiators of the contracting parties

Article 1 (96 re): To continue the friendship between the Emperor and the groom, out of consideration for the peace of Christendom and Italy, to consolidate the Milanese state and to the satisfaction of its subjects: consent for the bride granted

Article 2 (96 re): Marriage arranged: in Flanders, to be performed by the groom’s procurator by September 1533, followed by the transfer of the bride by November 1533

Article 3 (96 re): Dowry set: payment regulated, for all paternal and maternal inheritance claims of the bride, in return for the bride’s renunciation of inheritance in favour of the Emperor and the bride’s sister

Article 4 (96 re – 97 li): Renunciation of inheritance by the bride regulated: conditional on the promise of a dowry supplement by the bride’s sister after she has taken up her paternal inheritance, payment of the dowry supplement regulated, after the death of the bride without children, if applicable, in favour of the Emperor, confirmation of renunciation of inheritance by the groom regulated

Article 5 (97 li): Investment of dowry and dowry supplement regulated: after payment, in the income and possessions of the Milanese state, for the benefit of the bride and her heirs

Article 7 (97 li): After the death of the groom: transfer of clothing, bridal jewellery and household goods to the bride regulated

Article 8 (97 li): After the death of the bride without children: reversion of dowry and dowry allowance after the death of the groom regulated

Article 9 (97 li – re): Ratification by the Milanese Senate, imperial consent regulated
