Preamble (543f.): In memory of the long-standing, often renewed friendship and kinship between dynasties, to the praise of God, to increase friendship and trust between both countries, to bring about a closer union between the descendants of both sides, for the benefit and welfare of both countries: Marriage agreement declared

Article 1: Consent for bride granted, marriage agreed: date for consummation reserved, transfer of bride regulated

Article 2: Dowry determined: in return for bride’s renunciation of inheritance, payment regulated

Article 3: Morning gift determined: payment and use regulated

Article 4: Donatio propter nuptias, widow’s income, widow’s property determined: rights of use, widow’s residence, inspection of widow’s property arranged, subject to subsequent amendments

Articles 5-6: Widow’s property arranged: instructions and homage, legal status and duties of servants and subjects arranged, rights of sovereignty reserved

Articles 7-8: Remuneration and appointment of servants on the widow’s property regulated

Article 9: Appointment of church and school servants on the widow’s property regulated, appointment of court chaplain to the bride regulated

Article 10: Opening of widow’s estates to third parties, sale of widow’s estates prohibited, preservation of widow’s estates regulated

Articles 11-12: Replacement or exchange of widow’s estates regulated

Article 13: After the death of the groom: widow’s maintenance determined, delivery of the bride’s personal possessions regulated

Article 14: In the event of the bride’s second marriage: compensation for widow’s property, payment of dowry, interest on donatio propter nuptias and morning gift regulated
